What we ask of our Restaurants
We want to feature special access for our members. Your restaurant creates that access. We ask that you offer a unique, chef defined, or exclusive dining experience for our members. Be as creative as you want!
Restaurants can offer one or more of these specials, they can require reservations, or specific times of week or day. So long as there is something everyday, they can do something less involved on busy nights and more involved on slower nights. i.e. Multi-Course Dinner vs. Tasting Menu.
How does it work?
The members receive a beautiful, engraved, black anodized-aluminum physical card and an accompanying digital version in their App.
We ask members to make reservations, and then, upon arrival, confirm their membership by presenting their black card to the hostess. The server then presents the Eat Out Atlanta option as they would any dinner special. It is up to the member to order it or go straight from the menu. Integration with your restaurants standard operating procedure is seamless and without need for re-training.
No. Recent years have seen discount, coupon, and savings groups cultivate a “never pay full price” and “don’t go back without your coupon" mentality.
We see things pretty black and white. You pay for quality. Period. We believe restaurants don’t need to discount their products to get customers.
The restauranteur carries the weight of food cost, rent, labor, utilities, etc, and yet, most promotional options available today, require the restaurant to take the brunt of the cost of customer acquisition, as well as most of the risk.
All the while the third party promoter has nothing to lose and everything to gain from selling the restaurant’s hard work.
Thats a tricky question. What you really mean is “Are we today's dining club?” and the Answer is “No Way!” We are closer to the traditional club. The recent dining clubs are a discount card that gives customers value by subtraction from the check total. The restaurants suffer, diminishing their already thin margins, and we have no interest in that.
The traditional dining club was a real club with membership dues and members would be given access to all kinds of delicacies, new forms of cuisine, and the most current methods of culinary creation. This was often a club of cooks and chefs, or the upper class with disposable incomes and time to sit around and eat course after course of the most decadent and extravagant dishes from Europe and the Asia’s. That's more what we do!
You are not required to have or do anything. This is something of a resource. An encyclopedia for Atlanta restaurants.
You can use it to its full advantage and gain valuable and quality diners from it, or you can use it for exposure and a place of reference. We ask you to “feature” something. Something chef defined, something unique, something interesting, something special. That can be defined in anyway you want!
Some restaurants pair existing menu items with existing cocktails. Others pair desserts with ports.
Some do cocktail, or wine tastings. Others will do multi course dinners consisting of off menu and on menu selections. You can do as you please. We can require reservations, so as to buy you time for inventory, if you wish.
Because we have very little in common with your loyalty card. Your loyalty card is a resource for bringing back customers. We help introduce diners to your business, or at the very least, we reintroduce past customers back to your business and increase the check averages, and the exposure to your culinary prowess.
